Creek Walk
On a hot summer day, there’s nothing more refreshing than cooling off in the creek*. Kowana Valley is fortunate to have a beautiful, flowing creek that winds its way through the heart of the valley. Naturally shaded by trees lining the banks, the creek offers a peaceful escape from the heat.
Whether you're relaxing by the water or wading through the stream, you'll enjoy the cool flow over your feet and the soothing sounds of nature all around you.
*Please note: the creek bed can be rocky and slippery, so we recommend wearing water shoes and walking carefully. As with any outdoor setting, bugs and mosquitoes may be present, so come prepared with appropriate protection.
**Certain part of the creek will run dry on the ground surface during extremely dry and heater summer on some years
Stargazing
Darkness is the essential ingredient for truly immersive stargazing. Nestled far from city lights and surrounded by the mountains, Kowana Valley offers perfect night sky for observing planets and constellations with nothing more than the naked eye. So grab your lounge chair and the blankets, you’ll be amazed how this experience can be a serene escape—a moment to reflect and release your stresses, while gaining perspective on your place within the universe .
Swimming Hole
Fed by mountain spring water, our swimming hole is a serene natural haven, gently shaped by the flow of the spring and the surrounding ancient boulders—with minimal human impact. The spring water continues its journey, joining Bull Creek as it winds through the peaceful valley.
At the swimming hole, the soft sounds of trickling water and birdsong create a soothing atmosphere—an ideal setting for meditation, reflection, or simply finding your Zen. It’s the perfect sanctuary to cool off and unwind on a warm summer afternoon.

Hiking
Kowana Valley is embraced by mountains on all sides. The creek flows through the heart of the valley. With number of hiking trails throughout the valley and the surrounding mountain, you will have the sweeping view of the entire valley floor stretch for miles across to the surrounding mountain when standing on top of the mountain; You will find yourself equally awed by the rising mountain view as you follow the creek along the valley trial.
With the rich heritage and history of Kowana Valley, those hiking trail not only offers the raw beauty of the nature, but also a journey going back time. On the trails, you will discover the grinding stone that were once used by indigenous peoples, cave with handwritten marks dated back to 1800, and a remains of a miner’s cabin which now only visible as weathered stones.
